Phoenix Services Job Descriptions

 Professional Parent:

      To care for a child with disabilities within the professional parents home and within the communities.

 

      To ensure the safety and well being of the child.

 

      To provide a clean, nurturing, and responsive environment for the child.

 

      To provide supports and service which lead to the desired outcomes in the child’s plan

      To work in cooperation with the Family Support Trainer in teaching the child age appropriate self care, responsibility, daily living skills, and appropriate behavior.

 

      To work in cooperation with all child care agencies in the best interest of child including but not limited to: Division of Services for People with Disabilities, Child Protective Services, Division of Child and Family Services, Court Ad Litem, Mental Health, Medical and Dental Facilities, Juvenile Courts, and Birth Families unless court orders limits interaction.

 

      To communicate with the rest of the support team for support and smooth coordination of efforts. Reports directly to the Team Leader.

 

      To be child infant CPR and First Aid certified. Needs to know how to utilize the Heimlich Maneuver for age appropriateness.

 

      To learn and understand any specialized care that may be required for the care of the child.

 

      To keep accurate documentation and to complete monthly summary of services and incident reports as needed.

 

      To complete training as required by Phoenix Services.
